Sweet Pea Season

Description of Photo
Sweet Pea season is one of my favorite times of year on the farm. My customers and my honey bees love them as well. These sell out at the farmers market as soon as I put them on the table! They are so fragrant and I love their watercolor hues.

Look at that stem length! This year I grew a 50 foot bed of them in my high tunnel and they did amazing. I'm going to double my crop for next year.

I love sweet peas so much they have inspired me to add a line of sweet pea scented bath and body products to my etsy line. Those will be on there soon. Smells sooo good.

Today I have a farmers market so I have make sure everything on the farm has plenty of water. I had to hire two new summer helpers so I can keep up with the summer flower growing production around here but it's a great thing because now I can have triple the crop! I am up by six every morning and putting zinnia seedlings in the ground like a mad woman this week but it will all be worth it when I have acres of colorful zinnias and sunflowers! : )

Have a lovely day and try and stay cool in this heat!
