♥ Attempted Explanation ♥
I get asked so often about my purple-licious wardrobe choices by pretty much everyone on the planet that I encounter, so I thought I would explain a little just so when your going through my posts and you see a common hue you will know whats going on there.
The sweet and simple answer is... I am drawn to it again and again over all other colors and when I wear purple I feel happy and confident. There is no statement behind it, unless you consider "staying true to yourself" as the statement.
I have nothing against other colors at all. I love all colors. I don't think I would be a very good soap artist or floral designer if I didn't have a general embrace for the entire color wheel. I enjoy other people wearing multi-colors. I certainly don't think everyone should only wear a single color. It's just a passion and I'm a go- with-what-I-feel kinda lady so that is whats up with that.
♥ My Wardrobe Guidelines ♥
I use the term "monochromatic" loosely because while I do mostly only wear shades of purple I am not bound to it and I do not only wear one shade. I wear light purples such as Lilac and Mauve all the way down to deep berry, plum and sometimes burgundy and everything in between!
I also don't think I could be considered a hardcore monochromatic wearer because I do break some rules, shocking I know. My wardrobe does include some silver and gold (Metallic Only), a little Black and some White.
♥ Exceptions ♥
♥ Some prints and plaids have accent colors on them. I am okay with this as long as it is still mostly purple.
♥ Leopard printed shoes (becuase they look amazing with purple tights!)
♥ If something is Hello Kitty, Sailor Moon, Unicorn, mermaid or fairy themed, no matter what color it is I will probably buy it because, like wearing purple, those things also make me happy.
♥ If something is an amazing floral print that I can't live without. I will rock it, it's the florist in me!
♥ Brown is acceptable for boots and sometimes belts. (leather)
♥ Jewelry can be multi-colored.
♥ Garments that are Monster Energy Logo-ed or Subaru logo-ed (which I really only wear to certain street car events are not included in my general wardrobe.
♥ Style ♥
My style is pretty much "Romantic". Mostly bows, florals, frilly and soft fabrics, lace and tulle.Can't get enough of it! Although some days I decide to be a purple-headed mermaid, fairy, kawaii, sequined, princess, gangsta! Sooo it really just depends. I promised myself I wouldn't just wear anything just because it was purple, it has to be me.
