Soap Studio Inspiration - Cherry Limeade

Description of Photo
I'm all about that Cherry Limeade from Minute Maid Juice and even more excited they created a low calorie version that still tastes good! I prefer it over orange juice in the A.M. since I find orange juice to be a little to much acid for me first thing in morning. Plus I feel it tastes better since it's what I use to chase my organic apple cider shot at 7 a.m. (Soccer season is starting soon and I eat some weird things to prepare.)

Not only do I adore the taste but I also love the scent. So I decided to mix my own fragrance blend so I could make a whole line of products with it! Soooo Yummy!

Cherry Lime Shea Butter Soap is now appearing in my shop. It has def climbed into my top ten favorite scents I have ever created. I have been using it during my evening showers all week. Very nice to end the day with after working in the gardens all day!

Olympic Victory Bouquets

Greetings and Happy Monday! I am sitting in my air conditioned living room today listing my new soaps on my etsy shop while watching the Olympic Women's Soccer Semi Round. Cheering on the U.S. team!

I realized I haven't done any flower related posts lately so I decided to highlight the Olympic medal bouquets that are given out to the champions.

Description of Photo
The bouquets for the 2012 Olympic games include four varieties of Roses divided by English Lavender, Rosemary and Mint. I also feel like I have spotted some of the bouquets being presented through out the games to also have a little bit of Ornamental Wheat in them but I'm not sure. Anyways, this design is def very English indeed!

Over the course of the 2012 Olympics over 4,000 victory bouquets will be presented!! Holy cow, that's alotta posies!

These bouquets were designed by the one and only UK Florist, Jane Packer. I'm sure the legend of a florist who passed away last year is very proud to represent British Floral Design for all the world to see during these games. It's on my bucket list to attend one of her design schools someday.

A simple yet classic design and since they had to create so many of them a grouping bouquet is a good choice since it helps in replicating so many of them quickly. I love that they included Jane Packer's signature printed ribbon. Very pretty!

Okay, back to yelling the the big screen in my living room during soccer!

Have a lovey day everyone!

Saratoga Park Outfit

Description of Photo
I finally decided that it was time to break free of flower and soap work for a day! I ventured to downtown Saratoga with some pals. It was crazy busy which is to be expected with track season right now (Saratoga is world famous for their horse racing here in the big NY.) The sidewalks were filled with people and my friends always get a kick out of how many people stop me on the street to ask me questions about my hair or my outfits. Strangers are always curious about the all purple thing. My one guy friend always jokes when we are out by counting all the compliments I get on my hair. It makes spending hours to get it this way worth it! : )

Everytime I'm in downtown I go into the park and go out on to this awesome concrete gazebo that's in the water and feed the ducks. I don't care if there is a sign that says NOT to feed them. They are just so cute!
Anyways, here was my outfit of the day. (please excuse the quality, it's a phone pic.) That is one of the most comfortable purple dresses I own and it was only FIVE bucks!!

Oh by the way, I adopted an amazing Pit-Bull & Boxer mix a few weeks ago. She has taken to the farm and my little home so quickly. She is so perfect, already house broken and she does all kinds of tricks! I'm sure you will be seeing a lot more of Subie around here. Just look at that purple collar!

Dress: Aeropostale
Wedges: Old Navy
Sunglasses: American Eagle
Purse: Coach
Coffee: Uncommon Grounds ( Best coffee shop ever!! )

Damask Designs

Description of Photo

I have been making boat loads of new yummy soaps for my etsy shop! So that means I have lots of new labels to design for each scent. So this is what I have been doing all day. Its a perfect day to sit inside and design and not have to work outside in the heat! (I put off the task of planting the next round of sunflower seeds in the field for tomorrow.)

Even though I have so many new soaps coming out I still manage to get my hands on over 40 new scents that I just had to have! Electrician man says I need to be stopped but when I use the excuse "Be happy I didn't buy more shoes" the complaints go away.  : )

oh btw I really need one of these. ♥

Have a Lovely Day!

Hair Inspiration

I'm doing a quick re-dying of my hair this morning just to hide the blonde steaks that have appeared due to working away planting flowers in the sun. I always forget to wear a hat! So I thought I would put up some hair inspiration.
The purple I come up with today will probably be a pastel. It's only for the weekend because I will be on my mini getaway to Niagara Falls with the electrician dude. He is taking me there for the first time! ♥
Next week when I have more time I will properly bleach my roots and get back to that deep purple that I am so very smitten with! This week has just been crazy.

Also here was my first seasons harvest of Black Eyed Susans. Took these beauties to the market this week and I sold every stem! : )

Have a lovely day! ♥

Cream Cheese Pinwheels

Description of Photo
So I will admit, I am not Julia Child. (Small sad Violin plays) I have a handful of awesome recipes and then after that comes instant rice and homestyle mac & cheese. : ) When I make something amazing I just have to share it!
Now I will warn you now this recipe is def not going to help you if your trying to achieve the figure of a tooth pick, if that is what you want then stick to your lettuce and water. But if your happy with maintaining a nice tuckuss and thick & lovely thighs then enjoy! ♥

Things you will need
1 Block of Cream Cheese ( I used Philadelphia )
1 Sweet Red Pepper
1 Cup of Sprinkle Parmesan Cheese
1 Can of Pillsbury Crescent Rolls

1.Soften up the Cheese Cheese so that it's mixable.
2.Dice up the Sweet Red Pepper. For mine, I just cut all the sides off and cut it into strips and then used my little dicey push thingy to make the cute little squares.
3.Once the Cream cheese is soft, put it in a mixing bowl and add the cheese and the diced red pepper. Mix it all together till its like a paste.
4.Unroll the crescent roll dough on tin foil that is on a cookie pan. Leave the dough in a big flat sheet.
5.Spread the Cream Cheese mix evenly onto the dough.
6.Once you have it all spread on, take a pizza cutter and cut it into strips.
7. Roll the strips into little spirals and space them out so they don't bump into each other while baking.
8.Bake in the oven at 375 degrees for 10 -15 minutes. Not to long. You want them to be done in the middle and be golden brown but don't leave them so long that they burn on the bottom.
9.Enjoy!!!! : )
PS. - After you have spread on the cream cheese DON'T roll the dough into a big spiral log then try and cut them into little pinwheels. Its ruins the shape of them. This is how I messed up the first time I tried to make these.

Made them for our Fourth of July BBQ, 4 Batches were gone in an hour and a half. : )

While we are on the subject of food. I tried the Oreo Vanilla Bean Coolata from Dunkin Donuts, it's pure bliss! Sooooo Yummy! I don't really like their regular coolatas or the frozen hot chocolate because to me they have a funny after taste but this tastes nothing like that. Cookie-Goodness! Also the Oreo Cream Donut is amazing but to get one you have to be up super early because around here they have been selling out, Luckily I have an electrician man who works an opposite shift some nights/early mornings and picks one up for me right as DD is opening and he is on the way home. ♥

Starry Eyed Bowtique

I have fallen in love with a big cartel store I came across today called Starry Eyed Bowtique! I found three bows that I must have right away! ( of course they are all purple : D ) The store is amazing. Not only are the bows fun to look at but the models are awesome, all with crazy hair like mine and detailed make up. The prices of the bows are also reasonable. They have all different sizes. The ones I have my current sights on are all small bows  but they do have a very huge purple one I wouldn't mind owning. hehehe
